Versailles, a Christmas evening in the 18th century. Everywhere the eye falls, light dances in the mirrors. In the hearth, the fire crackles, giving way to the ballet of flames. In the richly decorated Hall of Mirrors of the Château de Versailles, the firelight reflects and multiplies, reverberating endlessly. Through the La Nuit des Glaces collection (the Night of Mirrors), the spirit of Trudon revives scents of burning wood and sweet treats. With a breath of wax or a powdery trail, the winter solstice takes on an air of splendor.
In La Nuit des Glaces, each glass is coated with a mirror finish. The inside of the artisanal glass is lined with hand-applied silver leaf. Each candle is then lacquered in shades of celadon. Enhanced in this way, the glasses interact with one another, reflecting the character of each fragrance with a gold mirror-effect celadon for Galerie des Flammes.
Candle Care
- Allow wax to melt to the full edge of the vessel before extinguishing
- Burn for at least 2 hours on first use
- This prevents tunneling and sets the candle's memory
- Trim the wick to ¼ inch before each lighting
- Never burn longer than 4 hours at a time
- Keep away from drafts, vents, and moving air
- Replace the lid or cover to protect from dust
- Store away from direct sunlight — UV fades fragrance and finish
- Discontinue use when ¼ inch of wax remains at the bottom
