LAFCO Labdanum Candle features the deep and distinctively rich aroma of labdanum, the understory of the forest ‚ an earthy, woody, and multifaceted. Patchouli and a touch of vanilla add a sweet warmth to this complex blend, creating a truly exotic amber fragrance that is grounded in its natural origins.
Labdanum Absolute (Cistus ladanifer) is a rich brown resin harvested from the rockrose shrub. Described as “the sweetest-scented of all substances” by early perfumers, its connection to perfumery dates to ancient Egypt when it was used in ceremonial incense. Widely used today to create the scent of amber, labdanum’s highly complex fragrance profile features notes of oak, sycamore, leather, moss, and fossilized amber.

Candle Care
- Allow wax to melt to the full edge of the vessel before extinguishing
- Burn for at least 2 hours on first use
- This prevents tunneling and sets the candle's memory
- Trim the wick to ¼ inch before each lighting
- Never burn longer than 4 hours at a time
- Keep away from drafts, vents, and moving air
- Replace the lid or cover to protect from dust
- Store away from direct sunlight — UV fades fragrance and finish
- Discontinue use when ¼ inch of wax remains at the bottom
