"For me the challenge here was to blend the unexpected- taking rustic notes and making them more refined. I wanted to make the top feel comforting and smooth, almost like warm, cracked leather with a zesty touch of mandarin and a hint of sweet hazelnut. The heart is a bit more adventurous- saffron flower and tobacco leaves bring this earthy, almost wild vibe, while cannabis leaf adds a really cool, green edge. For the dry down, I used tonka beans, patchouli, suede, and oud to exude this deep, rich warmth- grounding the fragrance in this perfectly mysterious, smoky finish.
