Fire Candles

According to our 2026 Luxury Candle Report, leather, tobacco, smoke and suede claimed two of our top six bestsellers, up from a best of #13 a year earlier. Fireplace scented candles belong to that smoky family. Our own Delirium candles include Firewood & Whiskey, hand-poured in Los Angeles, which pairs firewood and incense with whiskey, amber and a little cinnamon, like a nightcap in front of the grate.

Diptyque Feu de Bois and LAFCO Feu de Bois share a name and very little else. Diptyque's is firewood and nothing else, the most literal log fire we stock. LAFCO's Ski House is darker, with frankincense, leather, pine and sandalwood, and it suits anyone who already loves leather scented candles. Trudon Gabriel sits between them on birch, cedar, chestnut and leather. Glasshouse Fireside in Queenstown adds smoke and cinnamon to sandalwood, and it is the closest thing on this shelf to a campfire candle.

Fireplace candles work best in the rooms where a real fire would go, like the living room after dark. Our team's tip from the West Hollywood floor is to pair one smoky candle with something green, such as a Frasier Fir candle across the room, so the house smells like a cabin. When you want the smoke without the wood, our tobacco candles go deeper and more resinous.
