Back in 1961, three friends-a painter, an interior designer, and a theatre director-got together in Paris and opened a little shop at 34 Boulevard Saint-Germain. They named it Diptyque, inspired by the boutique's two symmetrical display windows, much like the two-panel paintings you'd see in an art gallery. At first, they sold colorful fabrics and unusual treasures from their travels, but soon enough, they started experimenting with fragrance. Almost accidentally, they created iconic scents like Feu de Bois, capturing the cozy warmth of a crackling fireplace, and Baies, evoking lush berry gardens. Before long, their quirky little shop became a beloved Parisian secret, and eventually, a global fragrance sensation. Even today, each Diptyque fragrance still carries the brand's original charm-artistic, playful, and unmistakably French-just like one half of a beautifully paired work of art.
Diptyque's universe unfolds through an eclectic spectrum of scents, each uniquely reflecting journeys, memories, and artistic inspirations. From the sweet, fruity warmth of Figuier (Fig) to the fresh Mediterranean breeze captured in Verveine, Diptyque meticulously crafts aromatic experiences that resonate on a personal level. Explore the floral depth of Roses, with petals softly layering a gentle charm, or the comforting elegance of Vanille, subtly reminiscent of warm moments and quiet indulgences.
