What It Feels Like to Walk Inside
Walk through the door and the first thing that hits you is the fragrance. Layers of it. Warm amber and bright bergamot. Smoky guaiac wood and clean white florals. Tobacco leaf, fig, vetiver, oud. All of it mingling in a 3,400 square foot space that feels more like a Parisian perfumery than a candle shop. Every shelf is open. Every candle is lit or unlidded for smelling. We do not believe in the cellophane wrap.
The team here are scent obsessives. Darren, Stacy, Rose, and Nick have spent years learning these houses inside out. They can walk you through dozens of compositions in 15 minutes and help you land on the one that actually changes your room. Tell them you want something for a winter dinner party, something for your bathroom, something that smells like your favorite hotel in Kyoto. They will hand you three candles and three correct answers. This is the part you cannot get from a product page.
We have been doing this in West Hollywood since 2003. Twenty-three years on the same boulevard, slowly building one of the most comprehensive luxury candle assortments in the country. Candle Delirium was founded in 2003 by Anthony Carro, who opened the original shop on Santa Monica Boulevard with a small selection of imported candles and a conviction that fragrance deserved the kind of retail experience usually reserved for fine wine or perfume. Twenty-three years later, the boutique he built is the largest luxury candle store in the world, carrying over 60 brands and supplying scent obsessives, set decorators, hotel buyers, and walk-in tourists from every continent.
Anthony has been quoted in The Washington Post on luxury home fragrance trends, profiled in Voyage LA Magazine, and featured in the Los Angeles Times. He still works the floor on most weekends. Take Santa Monica Boulevard east. We are between Crescent Heights and Fairfax, on your right.
Take Santa Monica Boulevard west. We are between La Brea and Fairfax, on your left.
101 Freeway north to Highland Avenue exit. Turn left on Santa Monica Boulevard. About 15 blocks west, between Laurel and Edinburgh.
405 Freeway north to 10 Freeway east. Exit La Cienega Boulevard, turn left, then right on Santa Monica Boulevard. About a mile east, between Laurel and Edinburgh.

Our West Hollywood Neighborhood
We are in the West Hollywood Design District, the stretch of Santa Monica and Melrose between La Cienega and Fairfax that has quietly become one of Los Angeles's most concentrated retail and design corridors. Within a 10-minute drive you will find the boutiques of Beverly Hills, the editorial showrooms of Melrose, the food and bookshop scene of Larchmont, and the Sunset Strip. We are a regular stop for visitors staying at the Sunset Tower, the Chateau Marmont, the Beverly Wilshire, and the Sunset Marquis. Set decorators from the studios in Burbank and Culver City come in weekly. Locals from Mid-City, Fairfax, the Hollywood Hills, and Beverly Hills consider us a neighborhood store.
