Harlem Candle Company - Speakeasy Harlem Map Ceramic Candle
Description & Details
Harlem Candle Company Speakeasy Harlem Map Ceramic Candle features our signature “Speakeasy” scent housed in a white and gold ceramic vessel portraying the “Nightclub Map of Harlem” illustration by E. Simms Campbell from 1932. This illustration highlights the speakeasies, nightclubs and musicians who were the shining lights during the Harlem Renaissance in the 1920’s and 1930’s. Once the candle finishes, the vessel becomes a beautiful home decor piece, perfect for storing small items on your desk or sideboard.
Speakeasy evokes the night, its mystery and forbidden touch. People would slip into hidden clubs, tucked behind storefronts. The thrill of the forbidden was unmatched—embodied by sensual flavors of vanilla and dark chocolate. The simple nod of a doorman would whisk you away to an unfamiliar world: dark, loud, pulsing with excitement.
Auras of palo santo and tobacco swirled the gambling tables where men rotated between cocktails and cigars. On the dance floor, perfumes of swaying women infused the air, creating a sweet elixir of licorice and plum blossom.
Harlem Candle Company values & pay homage to how Harlem has blessed the world with cultural luminaries, creative vision & style. Harlem Candle Company takes on the tradition of this cultural light, packaging this history into curated scents that continue the tradition of Harlem as the light of the world.
