The fall candles worth buying are the ones doing more than smelling like autumn as a concept. It is one of our most consistently repurchased fall candles for exactly that reason. Warm base notes read differently in cool air: amber, sandalwood, and smoke all deepen as temperatures drop, which is why fall candles tend to outlast the season they are named for.

Nest Pumpkin Chai is the fall candle people send photos of, stacked on every autumn mood board for a reason. The notes are cardamom, ginger, pumpkin, and chai: warm, spiced, the season in a single burn. Diptyque Ambre is a different fall candle.
