The FLAMING brand is intended to be fun and light-hearted while embracing LGBT+ culture and aspirations. It is designed to create a way to give back to the community that means so much to them by promising a percentage of all FLAMING sales to benefit The Trevor Project.
More about Flaming Candles
Flaming candles benefit The Trevor Project, the world’s largest suicide prevention and crisis intervention organization for LGBTQ+ young people.
“Andrew and Jon, together 15 years, both share a passion for working hard, playing hard, and giving back.” Andrew and Jon have been partners in life and philanthropy from day one. Shortly after their engagement they were approached to raise funds for the Cystic Fibrosis foundation. At their party, they asked that guests not bring gifts but rather make a donation to the foundation. As a result they made a nice contribution and were named one of South Florida's “Finest Couples” in 2012. After their wedding, they relocated to Los Angeles in 2014. They began with small gestures to those in need during the holidays. They rounded up food, toiletries and clothing and distributed them to needy Los Angeles residents focusing on the LGBT+ Youth Center which they both admire for its welcoming and accepting culture.
After working with a good friend who was also in the candle business, Andrew and Jon came up with the fun idea to create a candle brand geared towards the LGBT+ community, whimsically titled “Flaming" candles. The FLAMING brand is intended to be fun and light-hearted while embracing LGBT+ culture and aspirations. It is designed to create a way to give back to the community that means so much to them by promising a percentage of all FLAMING sales to LGBT+ charities.
With a lot of laughs, brainstorming, and hard work, FLAMING has gone from concept to reality and the founders are excited to see how many lives they can help with the strike of a match.
