Biren & Co. - Mr. Poe Candle

Biren & Co. Mr. Poe Candle is inspired by the psyche of Edgar Allan Poe, a seductive yet crisp fragrance revenant of zesty blood orange, basil, and saffron blossom, captivated by warm notes of cinnamon bark, clove, and vanilla bean.

Mr. Poe, encompasses the epitome of the tortured artist; his notorious characters and narrative, like in The Raven, are believed to depict and exploit his personal struggles throughout his life. Poe, lost his parents at an early age, and a very prominent and wealthy couple took him in. They alternately spoiled him and aggressively disciplined him. His tumultuous upbringing did not affect his infliction for love, finding love early in life, and married his 13-year-old cousin.  She died two years later of tuberculosis. Edgar’s literary gothic short stories and poetry, as well as his inventive creative crime writing, cemented him as the mad genius of his time, although respected and celebrated. Edgar Allen Poe died on the streets of Baltimore; the cause of death is still a mystery.

Biren & Co. Memoirs Candle Collection is inspired by vivacious writers of the past, and their lively environments at the time of their existence. Each candle evokes the essence of each fallen author’s world, all the while memorializing the aroma of their time.

I found my new favorite candles!!!
By Hayley
I recieved a few of the memoir candles as a gift from some friends and I am a huge candle fanatic and buy anything from bath and body works candles to locally made candles and these are by far the most amazing candles out of all of them. I love that these smell so true to the description while also not smelling a bit synthetic and phony like the cheaper candles can. These burn so nicely, last forever and not to mention the packaging is so cute and I will definitely be reusing the jars after the candle runs out!!! If you go read the bio on the biren and co website about how these candles got started, it will make you love them even more!! Haha anyways I highly recommend any but the the Wilde is definitely my favorite!! (Posted on 8/20/2017)
