Rosy Rings Candles started in a Shannon Cumberland's basement over fifteen years ago. Surrounded by five cats and the chug chug of a washing machine, the first candle was poured. Rosy Ring tools: a tiny crock pot and a few dented molds. Ingredients: chunks of sticky beeswax, vials of essential oils and botanicals dried in a dehydrator. It wasn't until she came up with the original Spicy Apple Botanical candle that she knew she was onto something. And even then, she wasn't sure what that something was. But when Susan lost her day job as a bike messenger, she decided to turn her candle hobby into her career.

Since those humble and, quite honestly, very exciting days, things have changed a lot. Rosy Rings Candles moved into their current 15,000 square foot facility and buy wax by the ton instead of by the case. However, some things have stayed the same: Rosy Rings Candles are still hand produced in Denver, and a few tweaks notwithstanding, they still make them the same way they did 14 years ago.
